variations on a diary

"are you an alt?"
 "no."
"but you're not trans/.?/"
 "don't press me like that!"
"code-switch me?"
 "i'm plural?"
"i don't like language"
"then what do you want to be called?"
"i don't."
 "then whats the point?"
"to love each other."
 "to love together."

i am that i am,
the one i am to you,
my italices are interpolations
wrought with a once forgotten dream
 of the meanings of time.

cast your way down the dark-wet hole
 with hip-hoppity pynk eyes,
because you are a participant in constructing
my tongue on the inside of you
 (don't let go of it)

alan, slipped by the ultraviolet
forgot to give space to the word tome,
 but that's ok,
because he knows what it means to play (together)!

just as i do for you,
 what you do for me,
this is what i believe it means to be,
wind me up, spin me twice, grab me by my hair
and crash (into) me, into my life.
as i will choose to see you doing me,
 either well or gladly,
to the extent that i can,
even if and when i don't feel the big o
in the love of our vice.

"who are your speaking to?"
-shrugs- "whoever wants to listen."
"does that include me?"
 "if you want"
"does that include you?"
 "if you'll have me"
"do you see what is happening?"
"it's always been your t-me, paul"
